Written during a long delay on the runway on 7/31/06. Would you believe that they made me sit there for an hour and a half while we waited? Torture.

Once I was a sage
full of moving, inspiring thoughts.
No longer am I he.

Right now, I am only a boy
trying to hide from my deepest desire-
To pee.

Maybe, someday,
after my bladder is appeased,
the wisdom will return.
